Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Jorhat invites applications for Junior Assistant posts. Candidates will have to submit the application in Part-IX standard form published in Assam Gazette. The posts has been approved and according to the rules as given below, the pay bands and grade pay along with other allowances will be established in the amalgamation of Jorhat Deputy Commissioner.

Recruitment Details:

DC Office Jorhat Recruitment: Junior Assistant Post

Name of the Post: Junior Assistant

Total No. of Posts: 13 (UR- 7, OBS- 3, SC- 1, ST-1, PWD-1)

Age Limit: 18 to 44 Years as on 01/01/2018

Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 to 49,000, Grade Pay- 6,200 per month with other allowance.

Education Qualification:

1. The minimum academic qualification of the candidates should be a Graduate in Art, Science or Commerce from a University recognized by the State Government or a Degree equivalent thereof and recognized by the Government.

2. Candidates must possess proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Windows, Linux, Mac Excel, Power Point, DTP (English / Assamese) and Internet. Candidates should have a minimum 6 (six) months diploma in computer application from the government recognized institution.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will have to appear in a written test of 150 marks comprising of the following:

1. General English (75 marks)

2. General Knowledge (50 marks)

3. Quantitative Aptitude (25 marks)

4. Computer theory (50 marks)

5. Language Skills (50 marks, Assamese / Bengali / Bodo / Alternative English)

Only the shortlisted candidates will have to appear in a computer proficiency test (50 marks).

Instruction will be available in the official website from 20.09.2018 to fill in the prescribed form. Candidates must upload the necessary documents during the application process.
