Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 50 Technical Assistant & Sr Technician posts at BIS Headquarters, New Delhi and BIS Offices located in the country in various disciplines.

BIS Recruitment 2020 for 50 Technical Assistant & Sr Technician Posts:

Recruitment Details:

1. Technical Assistant (Laboratory)

No of Posts: 30 posts (UR-4, EWS-11, SC-4, ST-4, OBC-7) (PWD-4)

Pay Scale: Pay level-6 in 7th CPC Rs. 56100)

Age Limit: 18-30 years

Educational & Other Qualification:

(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Science (with Chemistry or Microbiology or Physics or Bio-Technology or Food Technology or Bio-Chemistry or Electronics as one of the main subject) with minimum sixty percent marks (fifty percent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes);

Or

(ii) three years diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Civil or Chemical or Electronics or Food Technology or Metallurgy with minimum sixty percent marks (fifty percent marks for the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes).

2. Senior Technician

No of Posts: 20 posts (UR-11, EWS-2, SC-1, ST-2, OBC-4) (PWD-3)

Pay Scale: Pay level-4 in 7th CPC Rs. 56100)

Age Limit: 18-27 years

Educational & Other Qualification:

(i) Matric or its equivalent;

(ii) Industrial Training Institute Certificate in any of the following trades: (a) Electrician; (b) Air-Conditioning; (c) Refrigeration; (d) Mechanic (Diesel– Engine); (e) Fitter; (f) Carpenter; (g) Welder (the Welder should be also having passed the Welders’ Qualifying Test as per the relevant Indian Standard or its equivalent); and

(iii) two years’ practical experience in the respective trade after having obtained the Industrial Training Institute certificate or National Apprenticeship Certificate in the relevant trade.

Application Fee: Rs. 500/- (No fee for SC/ST/Ex.SM/ PWD/Women candidates) to be paid online.

Online Recruitment Examination will be held on 29/03/2020.
